Neglected kaw-kaw

Monday, May 9, 2011

I haven't been blogging since forever. My English is rusty, I always lost for words, I'm unsure of what things to blog about, I am lazy, I'm uninspired, I'm a boring person, my life is less than average, and I'm bored.

digital era

Monday, December 20, 2010

Last week is really a one busy week. With so many submissions, event and function were there to keep me even further away from my bed. Cre8tive conference were great, and so did Comic Fiesta. I joined the Digital Competition, a 3-hours illustration competition of the theme "Digital Era". I managed to be among the top-ten finalist, which is good enough. There were many great contestant and some of them created beautiful landscape and architecture design of the future. It was a great experience fighting among the pros. To be part of them is still far away, but Insya-Allah, one day, who knows?

We get older, more realistic, less optimistic. Why not just stay young?

Kongsi darah

e
1st Blood Donation (It's a heart shape! My blood is filled with love?)

2nd Blood Donation
This post has been postponed since last year and since I have just donated recently, I thought why not just combine both story. Ingat rajin sangat ke nak tulis banyak-banyak haa. haaaaa.

Okay, I'll just keep it short and simple, minus all the extravagant flowery words. I have a 1000 words essay to write which due tomorrow, and here I am spending some quality time with my blog. My date with ms word will have to wait.

Okay, laziness is kicking in. I'll just write in point form.

1st blood donation:
  • On 1st December 2009.
  • I was scared to the extend of the nurse asking why my hand is shaking .
  • Nurse was super sweet, caring and cute.
  • It wasn't as painful as I expected. Very minimal pain, seriously.
  • Got a certificate and lots of goodies, even a sample of cloth detergent (?).
  • I was expecting to feel half-dying or something, so I can brag saying "oh, letih sikit. tadi gi derma darah" kata ego aku berkembang-kembangan. But, no. It's not that tiring. My energy is back to normal after two days.
  • I heard people says that the nurse will let you hold the pack of blood or put onto your lap. I was looking forward to that but no, she just had to put it at the side of my leg -_-. Holding a pack of hot blood, knowing it was in your body a moment ago, wonder how that feels.
2nd blood donation:
  • On 2nd December 2010.
  • I was feeling confident as this is my second time. Turn out, it wasn't as how it should have been.
  • The nurse was quite impatient when poking that bloody thick long needle. It was slightly more hurt than the previous one.
  • Got a gold sticker number 379 for coming on the last day (I was supposed to get the number 378 when one girl behind me took it! I want the number 8 sobs), a certificate, lots of goodies, and hot milo
  • Now I got what I was expecting last year. My body was feeling tired and it lasted for 4-5 days.  The quantity of blood I donated this year is lower than the first, but it was more torturing than last year. I was not as healthy and strong as the me of 2009. Must.take.care.of.you.health.
  • I still couldn't get to hold my blood! So what I did was moving my legs nearer to the pack and felt the slight warmth of it. I should get closer to the pack but scared that it would accidentally fall down and splash onto the floor. Is that literally possible to happen?

I'm looking forward for the next blood donation drive. Jom pergi ramai-ramai aa best!

Mine is O. Yours?

I'm watching you

reminder

Saturday, November 27, 2010

Just as a reminder to self. A reminder for me to become more of a student, less of a human.

  • MI design crit session
  • Sound design script consultation
  • Islamic studies submission
  • Islamic studies mid-term
  • e-commerce progress consultation
  • Media Aesthetic essay
Finishing all these in less than a week, can i make it?

mak dan ayah

Monday, November 22, 2010

To ayah and mak,

Happy 24th anniversary :) Love you both so much.

From, your sons and daughters.

This, I think, it's one of the hardest portrait I did. As it is meant to be given to someone(s) important, the pressure really making it harder for me. This is nothing compared to their hard works in raising their children. I tried my best, and hope they will like it.

Not about you

Friday, November 19, 2010

Don't think that you're that special. In fact, you're actually a nobody. It's saddening, to think there is no one behind that still looking forward in meeting you. Perhaps, that's what karma is all about? You don't expect people cherishing you when you, did nothing.

You keep admitting yourself not being a good friend, but that doesn't mean people would tolerate with the idea.

People are selfish as they are.

And this, is not about you. Yes, I meant all of you.

p/s: By following an advice from a blogger, I shall get back on track and start writing in English again. I'll be more than happy if you can help correct my grammar and what not, but please be gentle. :)
